The center-driven thickener is primarily used for concentrating settled sludge in medium-to-small-sized thickening tanks at municipal wastewater treatment plants or industrial wastewater treatment projects. This equipment employs gravity concentration to reduce sludge volume, thereby alleviating the processing load on sludge dewatering systems and enhancing dewatering efficiency. It serves as a pretreatment step for sludge dewatering operations.
· The working bridge adopts a full-bridge design, with material options including carbon steel, stainless steel, or concrete structures;
· The drive system utilizes a vertical three-stage cycloidal pinwheel reducer or a combination of helical gear reducer and worm gear reducer to ensure output torque and speed;
· Concentration bars are evenly spaced on the scraper arms to enhance concentration efficiency;
· The lower end of the scraper shaft incorporates underwater bearings and scrapers to prevent shaft deflection during rotation and prevent sludge buildup in the collection trough;
· Dual mechanical and electrical overload protection ensures safe and reliable operation;
· Simple operation with direct local/remote control capabilities.
This equipment employs a chain plate rotary mechanism, featuring a fixed bar grating surface. As wastewater flows through, debris larger than the bar gaps is intercepted. The rake teeth of the rake plate penetrate into the gaps between the bars. When the drive unit rotates the traction chain, the rake teeth lift the debris trapped on the screen surface upward to the discharge opening. The debris falls out under gravity through the discharge opening into a conveyor or waste cart for removal or further processing.
