The belt filter press is a continuous, high-efficiency sludge treatment device that integrates concentration and filtration functions. It is suitable for dewatering and separating various settled or suspended materials, and is widely applied in sludge dewatering across industries such as chemical engineering, metallurgy, mining, food processing, papermaking, municipal wastewater treatment, and drainage.

The belt filter press primarily consists of a frame, power transmission unit, pre-press dewatering section, pressing dewatering section, upper/middle/lower filter belts, filter belt washing device, guide rollers, filter cake discharge device, alignment device, tensioning device, flocculant mixing device, filtrate collection tray, and electrical control cabinet.
The operating principle of the belt filter press is as follows: Flocculated suspended solids and sludge mixed with flocculant enter the dewatering mechanism. Under the combined effects of gravity and compression, sludge undergoes inversion to remove most free water in the concentration section. The pre-dewatered sludge is evenly distributed onto the filter belt via a feed hopper, entering the double-layer filter belt gap for pre-press dewatering. It then passes through a series of press rolls arranged in descending diameter order, subjecting the filter cake to progressively increasing compression and shear forces to remove additional free water and partial capillary water. The dewatered material is finally discharged through the outlet at the tail end of the machine.
